Being a developing country in the third world Sri Lanka lacked a developed party system and two major parties were dominated by political families who decided the leadership issue and mostly not the real cabinet but the kitchen cabinet ruled the country.
My discussions during the year 1996 with Chanaka had a long range of topics including party development, future leadership, organizational aspect, fund raising methods etc. On the other hand we had lengthy discussions on liberalism, liberal ideology and liberal economic philosophy and many more.
Mr. Nissanka further condemns the attempt by a section associated with police to cover up the real crime by issuing contradictory statements. Liberals request from the Police Commission to start a further investigation that led to cover up the crime as a mere accident.
